Jewish Student Ministry
The Galveston Jewish community is the oldest in the State of Texas. The contact person is Rabbi Jimmy Kessler of Temple B’nai Israel [R] at 765-5796. You can contact Congregation Beth Jacob [C] at 762-4545.
The community supports, with funding from the Jewish Federation of Galveston County, programs organized by the Jewish students on campus. In addition, Rabbi Kessler serves as the volunteer Jewish chaplain.
